We suggest you bring your child for a visit at around three years of age, or earlier if you notice problems. Dr. Tutin will gently examine your child’s mouth for proper tooth development and bite alignment and check for signs of decay.
To fight cavities, Dr. Tutin recommends dental sealants and fluoride treatments. Sealants are thin plastic coatings that fill the grooves of back teeth, providing a smooth surface that’s easy to clean and impervious to decay. Fluoride is another powerful cavity deterrent. Children who drink bottled instead of tap water might have a fluoride deficiency. Dr. Tutin will apply fluoride directly to your child’s teeth to create a strong, healthy, decay-resistant smile.
